Banned Books Webinar: Speaking About the Freedom to Read at the Window on America Center in Lutsk!


On October 10, 2013 the Window on America Center in Lutsk gathered 18 visitors who had a chance to attend a webinar on the topic “Banned Books and Banned Web Sites: Ethics, Censorship, Filtering of the Web and Libraries in the U.S.

The speaker was Barbara Jones, Director of the Office for Intellectual Freedom at the American Library Association Headquarters in Chicago, IL.


During the webinar the audience found out many interesting things related to banned books and intellectual freedom in the USA, highlighted the value of free and open access to information.









Banned Books Webinar brought together the entire book community – librarians, teachers, and the WOA readers – in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, ask questions and get profound answers.
