On February 11, 2014 pupils from gymnasium № 18 expanded their folk music knowledge and discussed the key points about that kind of music including what it is, what instruments are played, its history, and its important styles.

The discussion was led by Kristi Mientka , the American Peace Corps Volunteer in Lutsk.

During the meeting 24 visitors researched the history of folk music - watched video performances, examined how aspects of American folk music and Ukrainian music are alike and different.

In addition the audience learned about the latest collection of English language learning and teaching resources at the Center.

The focus was made on the resources that help educators in becoming more familiar with modern technologies associated with learning English language.
