Meetings at the WOA Center in Lutsk Helped Promote Positive Outcomes for Teachers, Students, and Schools.

During these days (April 08-09, 2014) the Window on America Center in Lutsk hosted a meeting for the 23  teachers of English language from local and regional schools.

The two days meeting was a great opportunity to:

  • share academic progress and growth,
  • discuss strategies to support students' learning
  • discuss issues that may be interfering with students' learning and growth.

The main focus of these regular events is learning about technologies that can influence the process of education. It's also important to discuss factors that can affect learning, such as the latest collection of English language learning and teaching resources at the Window on America Center in Lutsk..

 During the first day the audience was proposed to participate at the presentation about the Center, its resources, numerous programs, meetings and clubs. The main emphasis was made on the programs that help the people to practice their English.

The second day had more practical character: the teachers could try how to use modern technologies that provided intense and meaningful practice of language in the classroom and at home:

1.      board games;
2.      language learning programs;
3.      Kindles in teaching and learning English;
4.      the audio books;
5.      audio language courses.

We believe that free access to the Window on America Center resources will result in positive influences on the process of English language teaching and learning.
