The Window on America Center in Lutsk marked 'I Have a Dream' anniversary!


On September 1 st , 2013 the Window on America Center in Lutsk gathered 17 visitors who joined Sunday meeting for discussion “Martin Luther King Jr. at 50-year anniversary of March on Washington”.

The event was designed to shed light on some historical moments in the USA-  the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom that took place in Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963.


The paper show “August 28, 1963 March in Washington” was displayed at the Center so that the WOA visitors could read "I Have a Dream" speech, a spirited call for racial justice and equality and learn more about the growing struggle for civil rights in the United States of America.





At the end of the meeting the visitors watched the film “To Kill a Mockingbird” and discussed the racial concerns that Harper Lee addressed in the movie.
