Happy early Easter from Window on America in Lutsk!!!

On April 12, school 20 came to the library today to learn about how people in America celebrate Easter. 

Sam Abrams, Peace Corps volunteer prepared and showed presentation followed by different activities.

Сьогодні у нас в гостях були учні з Локачинської школи. Ми для них провели екскурсію нашою книгозбірнею. Вони дізналися багато нового про відділи обслуговування  та роботу бібліотеки в цілому.

Також наш волонтер, Сем Абрамс, підготував для них презентацію про культуру США. Після слайд показу він провів з ними деякі ігри під час яких вони могли попрактикувати англійську мову.

Ми раді, що до нас їдуть на екскурсію з інших районів і завжди раді новим гостям у ІЦ "вікно в Америку"!!!

Pupils at WOA Center in Lutsk

Today at WOA Center in Lutsk, we had a meeting with pupils 4th form from local school №1. 

We played different games, read books and learned many new and interesting words.

At the end we watched a cartoon “Beauty and Beast” in English and discussed it.

Wednesday 28, at Window on America Center in Lutsk was an excursion for pupils 7 form local school #3.

We told about Window on America services, literacy programs, and our clubs with volunteer from America Sam Abrams and language classes.

Then we played games “Travelling around the World” and “Snorter”

At 1 September, we had an excursion to the group of pupils (about 150) from local schools. 

We wanted to attract new readers to the Center, to give them detailed information about the resources that one can use when learning about the United States of America.

We told about Window on America services, literacy programs, our clubs with volunteer from America Sam Abrams and language classes.

Summer Camp at WOA Center!!!!

On the last day of May, 2016Window on America Center gathered about 30 pupils (2 and 3 forms) of local School №7.

During the presentation children learned more about the WOA Center material and resources. They have also known about events with native speaker that were organized in the Center.

At the second part of the meeting, the young visitors tried to learn English Language while playing different games. The aim was to make the process of learning more interesting, unusual and effective and to have sufficient oral practice in the use of the Language.

No doubt, that the WOA Center in Lutsk is an ideal place to spend summer holiday and learned about the United States of America.

We welcome everyone to join our Clubs and to learn English with us!

An excursion for pupils at WOA Center in Lutsk!

March 21, 2016 the Window on America Center in Lutsk hosted a group of pupils (11 persons) together with English language teacher.

They learned about the Center, its resources, numerous programs, meetings and clubs. The slide show presentation showed the guests fragments of events with American and Ukrainian guests that were organized in the Center. During the presentation, the visitors asked questions and got answer on them.

The audience was proposed to master language skills while playing different games.

They were very satisfied from our meeting and promised to visit our center again.
