Lutsk Window on America Center: Let's Debate!

Lutsk Window on America Center: Let's Debate! The English Language Debate Lesson was Held at Lutsk Window on America Center on September 29, 2021. The lesson was attended by 2 teams from Lutsk Pedagogical College. The event took place in two rounds during which the teams discussed the following issues: English is an effective reasons of communication vs English is lingua franca. The lesson was very exciting, students managed to submit their own interesting views and behaved tolerantly towards other positions. Important information was presented by Chrustuna Slovick,еру chairman of Volyn debate Сenter. A lot of questions were asked and profound answers were given. The working language was English.

A wonderful day spent at the Reserch Library with School 5!

Explore the Window on America Center! The pupils from School №5 became the WOA Center visitors, learned about many materials on just about every topic. The main part of the meeting was devoted to online and offline programs that help people to practice their English with native speakers. New arrivals were of great interest too! The audience learned much that one could find in the Center, its services, etc. We also emphasized research skills focusing on the use of the library's information resources .

Another Productive Saturday with Window on America!

Weekends with the Library continues! September 18, 2021 the Window on America Center in Lutsk welcomed pupils fron Specialized School #1 at the Olena Pchilka Library to talk about different cultures. The present audience who participated in the event had the lovely moments and a great day from engaging activities and opportunities! A lot of games, cooking, presentation, musuc and communicating. Welcome to our Summer library programs! A lot of happiness, tasty treats, presentation, musuc, communication, new knowledge obtained, and more smiles seen. The Window on America Center Visits!

September 16, 2021 the Window on America Center in Lutsk had provided a great opportunity for a group of students from Pedagogical College to come together and become the WOA Center members, to learn about many materials on just about every topic. The meeting provided the audience with just about everything they needed, mainly the detailed information about online programs that helped to practice their English with native speakers and people from all over the world. The audience explored the WOA Center resources designed to enhance knowledge of the United States of America. New arrivals were of great interest too! The students could benefit from Center services. The present audienсe was encouraged to visit the Center and began exploring opportunities.

Debate Tournament

Took Place at the Window on America Center in Lutsk On September 04-05, 2021`, the Window on America Center in Lutsk hosted a debate tournament among students of higher educational institutions. Students who participated in speech & debate learned a variety of skills which were directly transferable to a wide range of academic situations. All formats of speech & debate taught the vital skill of public speaking, useful to a student now for the confidence to speak, to answer a question or in making a presentation in front of a class.

. Window on America Center in Lutsk: Visit, Learn, Explore!

The First Lesson after Summer Holidays! Summer holidays are over and it is high time to switch on “back to work” mode. Today the library welcomed the pupils from specialized school #1. The goal of the meeting was to attract new people to the Center, to encourage them to Read, to give detailed information about the resources that one could use when learning foreign language. The following items were discussed during the meeting: 1. Did you have a vacation this summer? Did it go the way you had planned? 2. Did you go anywhere? Where did you go? 3. Was it the first time you’d been there? Did you see anything really interesting? 4. How different were your summer holidays from the previous ones? 5. Did the pandemic influence the way you spent your holidays? How? The lesson was light and fun with positive and relaxed atmosphere. At the end of successful lesson the pupils got acquainted with the schedule of working of the center, got to know about the clubs and events that one can visit coming to the center. They also got acquainted with new books collection. The WOA Center staff congratulates on a Knowledge Day all the library users which traditionally start a study year at the Volyn Research Library!!!
