Christmas and New Year Celebrations at the WOA Center in Lutsk!!!!
During the last days the Center visitors learned more about the Christmas Holiday in the USA and around the world. Series of events were organized.
Peace Corps Volunteers Scott Ludwig, Leigh Scruggs and Vladimir Leontiev led the Speaking, Public and Game Clubs devoted to the holidays.
 The visitors spent great time at the Center, enjoyed good company and friendly atmosphere and got more ideas about New Year activities

Debate Club at the Window on America Center!


By participating in the Debate club, the Center visitors canl learn skills such as communication, leadership, and argumentation.

The Club is lead by American Peace Corp Volunteer Scott Ludwig.

 At the club the audience took part at a series of lectures, interactive sessions, and an end-of-the-year debate meeting among the students.

It's a great way to practice public speaking, construct arguments and exercise reasoning while working with friends.

The Window on America Center in Lutsk Welcomes English Language Teachers!



Today our Center hosted a meeting for teachers of English language from local and regional schools.
The meeting was a great opportunity:

  •       to share academic progress and growth;


  • ·         discuss strategies to support students learning.






The main goal of these meetings is to learn about technologies that can influence the process of education.








We believe that free access to the WOA Center resources will result in positive influences on the process of English language teaching and learning.

The meeting was filled with interesting information and activities that were fun and informative.
Leigh Scruggs, the American Peace Corp volunteer was the leader of the Club. She helped the present audience to explore Alaska and understand the state life!

…You have been invited to attend a meeting in the USA in some months, you have received an amazing promotion. All these scenarios have something in common – you need to get your English language quickly and effectively…



   Today the WOA Center in Lutsk hosted a meeting “How to Learn English Language Quickly”. The speaker come from Lviv, he knows 8 language, traveler, language barrier expert, an AngloArmy  founder -  Andrij Stefurak.


     
The following items were discussed:
  • ·         Understand your learning style;
  • ·         Think about good quality online material;
  • ·         Feed your interests and motivations;
  • ·         Practice makes perfect;
  • ·         Do something everyday;
  • ·         Take risks;
  • ·         Talk to native speakers;
  • ·         Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.


There are much more ways to learn language! Come to the WOA Center, find what best works for you and enjoy speaking the language!

Make US States Come to Life with the WOA Center Speaking Club!



Today the WOA Center in Lutsk hosted a weekly Speaking Club, the topic was the State of Texas.
The present audience reviewed the information, discussed the following :

1.       What do you already know about Texas?
2.       What is Texas most well known for?
3.       What would you like to know about Texas?




The leader of the Club, the American Peace Corp Volunteer Leigh Scruggs led the event and helped the visitors retain interesting and new information.

Meet the Newest Arrival at Volyn Library!


On that day the visitors were proposed to look through contemporary literature that revolves around the theme of English Language learning.

We suggest a wide range of books and games.



The main objective of that day is to raise awareness of the printed electronic resources of the Center.
The visitors were proposed to get acquainted with the audio books and audio materials, Classical American movies, materials on Us education, etc.

New Visitors at the WOA Center in Lutsk!



On November 27, 2018 English language teachers were invited to explore the Window on America resources designed to enhance knowledge of the USA.
The WOA Center staff talked about the Center, its resources, numerous programs, meetings and clubs.


The main emphasis was made on the programs that help the people to practice their English with native speakers, mainly Clubs led by Leigh Scruggs, Scott Ludwig and Vladimir Leontiev.
We believe that the acquaintance with the WOA Center is the first step towards the future collaboration!

Learning Public Speaking with Native Speakers at the Window on America Center in Lutsk!


The Window on America Center Public Speaking Club provides its members with weekly public speaking opportunities. Today, November 25, 2018 the audience was proposed the following themes to discus:

  • ·         Targeting Children Should be Illegal.


The America Pearce Corps Volunteers Scott Ludwig and Vladimir Leontiev were the leaders of the event and helped the visitors to refine their public speaking skills.

It is an annual event designed to encourage the visitors to learn and to speak English as much as possible.






 It was amazing to see the audience participating in a whole range of activities:
