Guests frolocal and regional schools!!!

Today we had the presentation of the WOA center for teachers of English from Lutsk and regional schools (22).

The aim of the meeting was to create possibilities for developing and improving teacher’s practical theoretical courses using the WOA Center recourses.

The teachers were acquainted with the schedule of working of the center, have to know about the clubs and events that one can visit coming to the center

We can say for sure that the Window on America Center resources play a significant and pivotal role in the process of teaching!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

January 22, 2017 more than 20 people came to the Center to learn and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day!!! 

Window on America in Lutsk brought Martin Luther King Jr.'s messages to life, women's rights, equal rights, black lives matter, world peace, knocking down stereotypes, and learned about racism, sexism, segregation, gays, lesbians, transgenders, and discrimination.

Members off the club were very active by doing different tasks such as getting to know other members, but also giving hugs and handshakes to others. We had a lovely discussion and all want better things and they all worked together.

The presentation was led by Sam Abrams, the America Pearce Corps Volunteer in Lutks.

Grey's Anatomy and Friends with WOA Center in Lutsk

Film Club With Window on America Center in Lutsk. 

Members watched a very stressful, emotional, difficult, intense episode of Grey's Anatomy. 

Members found enough strength to continue with our club and take part in some different activities and got some comic relief by watching an episode of Friends. 

Exciting journey to Richmond, Virginia

Yesterday we took a trip to Richmond, Virginia.

Members had a chance to learn about Edgar Allan Poe, pork fries, a famous mansion, museums, peanut butter pie, and so much more. 

Members got acquainted with one another.
