Developing Decision-Making Discussions at the Window on America Center in Lutsk!

On June 16, 2013 the Window on America Center in Lutsk held a Discussion - Decision Making for 13 people.
Terry Mattison, the American Peace Corps Volunteer in Lutsk led the discussion and helped to develop participants’ personal reasoning in relation to conservation issues.

The following research questions were discussed:
1.      Is it better to read a book or is it better to watch TV/Movies?
2.      Is it better to try to do something hard/scary and fail or is it better not to try at all?
3.      Is it better to have a goal for your future or is it better to just try everything and go in the direction it takes you?
Findings indicated the positive value of participants taking part in these short decision-making discussions. The present audience increased their quality of personal reasoning, and modified their solutions to the issues.

Let’s Spend Summer at the WOA Center in Lutsk!

Children love to learn and that love of learning doesn't stop during the summer months. Luckily, parents can send their children to the WOA Center in Lutsk to learn about the United States of America !

On June 11, 2013 a group of 38 children in grades 5 through 7 together with English language teachers visited the Center.

During the presentation the pupils got acquainted with wonderful resources for learning useful facts about each of our 50 states, US geography, famous people, famous places, and notable history

No doubt that the WOA Center in Lutsk is an ideal place to spend summer holiday and learned about the United States of America.
