No Obstacles to English Language Learning and Vocabulary Development!



During the last 7 years the Window on America Center in Lutsk has provide up-to-date information on the United States.
 The mission of our center is to promote mutual understanding between the United States and Ukraine. The Center accomplishes this by: providing information about U.S. history, government, society, culture and other spheres of life in America

The US Embassy Staff helps us a lot with good advice, moral and financial support! 

 The year 2014 begins with wonderful news – the interior of the Center will get a more modern look with new furniture. We are sure that it is the first step for attracting new visitors.



But the process of renovation can’t stop the people to read, learn and communicate. 

 

We are happy that the visitors don’t pay attention to some inconveniences and continue to come. 

 


 
Very soon the Window on America Center wide resources will attract more smart, bright, gifted readers. 
And we in our turn will provide a comfortable learning environment for everyone who wants  to get up-to-date information on the United States.

Lutsk Window on America Center Visitors Honored Martin Luther King Jr. Day!




During the period of time from January 20, 2014 till January 24, 2014  about 26 people  gathered at the Window on America Center in Lutsk  to have a discussion to honor Martin Luther King Jr. as a leader in the American civil rights movements.

The event was designed to shed light on some historical moments in the USA, mainly the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom that took place in Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963.




The paper show “August 28, 1963 March in Washington” was displayed at the Center so that the audience could learn more about the growing struggle for civil rights in the United States of America.

 The meeting was finished with Martin Luther King Jr.’s "I Have a Dream" speech, a spirited call for racial justice and equality.

The Window on America Center in Lutsk Offers Wide Range of Interactive Board Games for Learning and Teaching English.



The idea to get together and learn language with fun attracted 12 people who enjoyed old classics like Monopoly, 10 Days in the USA, Scrabble - one of the most popular board games in the world.



During more than 2 hour meeting the audience played educational games and learned English vocabulary, sentence structures. 







 The games themselves have a wide variety of themes. There’s something for everyone.


Bananagram game is the most popular game among the visitors of the Center. 

It is the great way for learners to develop memory and cognitive skills while learning alphabetical order, word construction, consonants, and vowels, vocabulary, rhyming. 



The audience also was interested at playing more active games that helped to develop critical thinking.

American Film Lovers at the Window on America Center in Lutsk!



On January12,2014 the Window on America Center in Lutsk visitors (15 people) gathered to talk about American films history.
 Whether the movies were in the form of coin-operated nickelodeons, silent films, epic extravaganzas, or special effects blockbusters, motion pictures have captivated audiences worldwide.




During the meeting there was presented an up-to-date history of many aspects of American film, such as acting, directing, editing. 








The leader of the meeting Vadim prepared a wonderful presentation that helped the magic of American filmmaking came alive.
