Lutsk Window on America Center Supports the Year of English in Ukraine!


The Window on America Center in Lutsk started to host a series of meetings for people interested in English language learning at the Center.
Among the present audience there were teachers, medical workers, students, pupils, retired people.

The audience had a great chance to improve pronunciation, speaking skills and grammar.
Of great interest was the latest collection of English language learning resources of the Center, mainly colorful and informative books, American movies, educational games and other up to date literature about the United States of America.



The Window on America Staff makes everything possible to intensify English studying at the Center : we demonstrate movies in English, involve native speakers in teaching English, organize English learning clubs!

Window on America Сontinues to Have City Club!

This week the WOA Center visitors in Lutsk took the club to Sydney.





The audience had a virtual dip into the Harbor, enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful sights around the famous Opera House, relieved some of the highlights from the epic fireworks shows during New Year's Eve.












The presentation was led by Sam Abrams, the America Pearce Corps Volunteer in Lutsk, group activities were played, team tic-tac-toe using kangaroos and koalas while asking various questions and having a lively discussion.

The Window on America Center in Lutsk Visitors Honored Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Shared their Dreams!

On January 17, 2016 more than 20 people came to the Center to learn and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day!!!



The presentation was led by Sam Abrams, the America Pearce Corps Volunteer in Lutks.




The present audience had a great chance to  share his dream, to have others share their dreams, 


to work as a community and to have some students re-tell some of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream,"

The paper show “August 28, 1963 March in Washington” was displayed at the Center so that the audience could learn more about the growing struggle for civil rights in the United States of America. The meeting was finished with Martin Luther King Jr.’s "I Have a Dream" speech, a spirited call for racial justice and equality.


The event was designed to shed light on some historical moments in the USA, mainly the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom that took place in Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963.

A Virtual Trip to Paris with Lutsk Window on America Center.




US City Club members learnt about wonderful place to spend winter holidays.











French music was played, famous monument puzzles were formed, knowledge was tested in Jeopardy, metro maps were learnt, and memories were made.



Presentation was led by Sam Abrams the American Peace Corps Volunteer in Lutsk!

Special Sunday with Window on America Center in Lutsk!




Sunday 10, 2016 people gathered at the Center to talk about Ukrainian Christmas, Australian Christmas, Colombian Christmas, and American Christmas.




The present audience was proposed to watch different episodes about Christmas holidays aimed to get more information about that holiday.

That winter snowy Sunday meeting was ended with a girls vs boys snowball fight!!
