On January 17, 2016 more than 20 people came to the Center to learn and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.
Day!!!
The presentation was led by Sam Abrams, the America Pearce Corps
Volunteer in Lutks.
The present audience had a great chance to share his dream, to have others share their
dreams,
to work as a community and to have some students re-tell some of Dr.
King's "I Have a Dream,"
The paper show “August 28, 1963 March in Washington” was displayed at
the Center so that the audience could learn more about the growing struggle for
civil rights in the United States of America. The meeting was finished with
Martin Luther King Jr.’s "I Have a Dream" speech, a spirited call for
racial justice and equality.
The event was designed to shed light on some historical moments in the
USA, mainly the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom that took place in
Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963.
