On May 8, Window on America held one final
celebration before summer yesterday. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s
Day.
The present audience was proposed to attend the
presentation about the background of the holiday, its symbols. It was led by
Sam Abrams, American Peace Corps Volunteer.
During the second part of the meeting, speaking
activities. We played different traditional games, such as:
Cinco de Mayo Word Find Game. The members need
to find word related to this holiday.
Pinata game. We made a piñata and filled it
with candies and toys. Then we hung Pinatas and asked each participant to break
it.
And in the end of celebration we tasted
traditional dishes that was made by Sam.
