April 25th - U.S. Cities Club With Window on America in Lutsk . We took another virtual trip to New York City.

 It was all brand new with different activities, information, and games. Members learned about Adam Sandler, Emmy Rossum, Nas, Radio City Hall, Empire State Building, The One World Trade Center, Ellis Island, Martin Scorsese, Sarah Hyland, Scarlett Johnasson, New York style pizza, and more.

Weekend at Window on America

Spend your weekend usefully and learn  English with Peace Corps volunteer Sam Abrams!

April 22 - Around the Globe With Window on America in Lutsk brought members together to learn about Parma, Italy. Members learned about the famous cheese, famous ham, the ancient wonders of the city, and the amazing architecture that the city has. Members got to listen to authentic Italian music, act out a restaurant scene, decide on the best pizza for them, and more.

The presentation was lead by Sam Abrams, Peace Corps volunteer.

Game it up! Members played Scrabble and Taboo.

TV Series Club With Window on America in Lutsk showed members the crazy, surprising, dramatic second episode of season 4 of Grey's Anatomy followed by a very entertaining episode of Friends.

Coursera "English for Media Literacy"

22.04 Window on America in Lutsk held another session for the "English for Media Literacy".

Members asked different questions and we talked about different advertising. Almost all members passed week 3.

Pop singers and pop groups. Reading club with Window on America in Lutsk

April 19 - A Labyrinth of Words With Window on America in Lutsk brought members together to read, learn, and speak about famous pop singers and pop groups. 

Members learned about Lorde, Tupac, Twenty One Pilots, Shakira, Okean Elzy, Ruslana, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Mariah Carey, Fall out boy, Maroon 5, The Supremes, Justin Timberlake, and several others.

April 13 - Grammar Club With Window on America in Lutsk. Sam Abrams, Peace Corps volunteer spoke about 1st and 2nd conditionals. 

Members had a chance to learn grammar in an interesting way.

A Labyrinth of Words With Window on America in Lutsk

On April 12 - A Labyrinth of Words With Window on America in Lutsk took members back to the ancient times and flung them back to the present with unusual sports. 

They read and learned about Mesoamerican ballgame, Zorbing, Quidditch, Elephant polo, Skin pulling, Underwater hockey, Venatio, Ostrich racing, The Fisherman's joust, Cycleball, Sporthocking, Bossaball, Chess boxing, and Ban'ei. Members took part in different activities in a highly active evening. Sam Abrams, created some different sports, relay races, and engaging tasks.

On April 12, school 20 came to the library today to learn about how people in America celebrate Easter.

TV Series Club and Speaking club, 09.04 - members decided to continue to watch the drama and craziness of Grey's Anatomy followed by Friends.

Members had a chance to integrate and work with many different people.

Game it Up and Arround the Globe with Window on America center in Lutsk.

 Members  played some of our newest games including a brand new game called "CV." 

Around the Globe took members to Zanzibar. Members explored paradise and shared what was an ideal paradise for them.

They also created some ads for tourists to visit there. 

They learned about the exotic food, white sandy beaches, the smorgasbord of spices, the Full Moon Festival, unique animals, and more. See you in 2 weeks for our next edition!!

A Labyrinth of Words With Window on America in Lutsk

March 5 - A Labyrinth of Words With Window on America in Lutsk brought some poetry into the library during our reading club. 

Members (21 pers.) had the chance to hear some of my poetry and read a poem by William Shakespeare, Taras Shvenchenko, and others. They also read quotes, went on a quest, learned about Robert Frost, Edgar Allen Poe, T.S. Eliot, Emily Dickinson, Maya Angelou, and others as well as took part in different activities.

The club leaded by Sam Abrams, Peace Corps volunteer.
