Baseball Club!

On August 28 at Window on America Center in Lutsk we had a day devoted to baseball.

 We watched a movie "Hardball" about baseball and then went to the stadium and played game! It was awesome! We are waiting for next Sunday to play baseball again!

Meeting with our volunteer Sam! We are so glad that you came back to us! Sam told us how he spent summer, about his being in Kyiv. We talked about our plans for a year: clubs, meetings, holidays!





Then we played game. The members liked this game and they played it with a pleasure

Школа молодого бібліотекаря

11 липня у Волинській ДОУНБ імені Олени Пчілки пройшла школа молодого бібліотекара. ЇЇ гасло – «Професіоналізм + креативність = сучасний бібліотекар». У навчанні взяли участь бібліотекарі з усієї області.

Відділ документів іноземними мовами та ІЦ «Вікно в Америку» запропонували пограти у гру «Guess a book».Гості розбилися на дві команди, представники яких жестами показували назви книг, а члени команди за одну хвилину вгадували назву та автора. У разі правильної відповіді на смарт-дошці висвітлювалася  світлина цієї книги. До слова сказати, усі книги були вгадані правильно.

Games at WOA Center Lutsk

10 July at Window on America Center in Lutsk we had the last before  English Speaking Club. We played different games such as “Truth or Dare” and “Guess Words”. 

Participants had a great chance to proof speaking skills, to learn new words and it was a great way to know different things about others.

English Speaking Club

Today 26 June we met with our new volunteer Jeremy Hannah. The clubs members asked questions about his life, work, and hometown. He'll be visiting our clubs every Sunday at 2 p.m.

Jeremy joined and played with us many interesting and useful games, such as “Stand up English”, “Hot sit” and “Draw it”, and Taboo game.

During the club, the participants practice their language skills. Visitors liked it very much and asked to play more games. So, next Sunday we will continue our speaking club, and will be playing more games.

Summer Camp

Today we had guests from school #17. They learned about WOA Center resources and watched a cartoon “Alice in wonderland”. They were very happy and interested in Window on America clubs. So welcome everyone to join us!

Welcome, Majaki school

On June 6, 2016, Window on America Center in Lutsk met a group of pupils from Majaki local schools.

Students watched a film “Gulliver’s travels” (2010). American adventure, fantasy, comedy family film directed by Rob Letterman.

The meeting was very unusual, but informative and effective. The visitors showed great interest in WOA Center Resources, so we welcome everyone to join our Clubs and to learn English with us!
