Blended Meetings at the Window on America Center in Lutsk -a Ticket to Hosting Successful events.

The Window on America Center in Lutsk Welcomes English Language Teachers!

September 22, 2020 our Center hosted a meeting for teachers of English language from local and regional schools.

The audience was divided in two parts so one group visited the Library, another had meeting on Zoom's video platform .

The meeting was a great opportunity:

• to share academic progress and growth;

• discuss strategies to support students learning.

The main goal of these meetings was to learn about technologies that can influence the process of education.  

    We emphasized research skills focusing on the use of the library's information resources - in all formats including online databases and print.

Kids Club!

On September 12, 2020 the Kids Club took place and gathered pupils interested in English learning!

. The topic was People and Homes.

Learning vocabulary about People from all over the World enabled students to learn more about nationalities.

TheWOA Center Stuff taught new vocabulary and expressions to beginner English language learners/

International Club with Sam Abrams!!!

Club members from all over the world discussed traditions and took time to acknowledge 9/11 with the leader of the International Club, the former Peace Corp Volunteer Sam Abrams.

A lot of traditional dishes, symbols, and unique practices in an array of countries were talked over.

Debate Tournament Took Place among Students in Lutsk

On September 06-07, 2020`, the Window on America Center in Lutsk hosted a debate tournament among students of higher educational institutions.

The main purpose of the tournament was to increase the interest of young people in having their education disrupted by the spread of Coronavirus.

In this uncertain environment, it was important that learning continued, even if it couldn’t happen in person.

The debate participants were able to apply their skills, such as analytical and critical thinking, defending their position, communication skills, erudition and creativity, as well as the ability to act quickly in unforeseen situations.
