On April
11, 2013 the masterpieces of art were presented at the Center. Two groups (9+7 people) of
students from Volyn National University
had a great idea to gain a deeper appreciation of the US history
through that innovative program.
“Picturing America ”
is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the
American Library Association, that brings reproductions of 40 masterpieces of
American art into classrooms and libraries nationwide.
By bringing
high-quality reproductions of notable American art into public and private
schools, libraries, and communities, Picturing America gives participants the
opportunity to learn about the US
nation’s history and culture in a fresh and engaging way.
Today’s
presentation helped the students experience the humanity of history and enhance
the learning and understanding of America ’s past.
