A perfect X-mas Lesson in the Library!

A perfect X-mas Lesson in the Library! Christmas in the library is the best time of the year. Here is the example for making your library a festive and inviting place to be. December 18, 2021 the Window on America Centre in Lutsk welcomed pupils from Specialized School #1 at the Olena Pchilka Library to talk about Christmas. In this lesson, students were introduced to some common Christmas vocabulary, learnt Christmas traditions, and played many Christmas games. Members of the event got accompanying flashcards, worksheets and printable resources. A lot of games, conversations activities helped to practice their English with native speaker Sam Abrams! It was fun for students to spend a wonderful and unusual day with our American friend Sam Abrams and learnt how Christmas was celebrated in English speaking countries and compared that to how it was done in Ukraine. Lots of fun activities were done in our Christmas lesson. The participants created worksheets with Christmas activities and practiced new vocabulary words. We had writing exercises where one could write about his/her ideal Christmas. We included lots of fun Christmas Word searches, holiday images and printed Christmas worksheets in colour to make them more festive. Weekend English classes at the Window on America Centre in Lutsk are very enjoyable. Students are often eager to learn about holidays or simply just excited to have a friendly meeting with the native speaker. Thanks a lot Sam Abrams and all the participants for the interesting, active day and festive mood.
