The Window on America Center Visits!

 

 

 A group of students from Pedagogical College visited the Volyn Research library to become the WOA Center visitors, to learn about many materials on just about every topic.

We are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are adapting plans and activities accordingly. Todays statistics allowed us to meet a group of new visitors at the Center!

The main part of the meeting was devoted to online programs that help people to practice their English with native speakers.

 

 The audience explored the WOA Center resources designed to enhance knowledge of the United States of America. New arrivals were of great interest too!

The pupils learned much that one could find in the Center, its services, etc.

October 04, 2020 English Kids Club gathered young readers at the Window on America Ce4nter in Lutsk!

The audience played a lot of games such as “Magic Bottle with words”, “Name your favorite”, “Prepositions of time game”, “Hot potatoes”, learned “My town” phrases – city vocabulary and places, discussed what is situated in our town, made up different dialogues, exercises, repeated Present Continuous and played the game “What are you doing now?

The possibilities of children are endless, so our task is to interest the children in the process of learning English and make them feel how is it wonderful to know English, speak with the foreigners, make new friends.

The Window on America Center in Lutsk Welcomes English Language Teachers!

September 22, 2020 our Center hosted a meeting for teachers of English language from local and regional schools.

The audience was divided in two parts so one group visited the Library, another had meeting on Zoom's video platform .

The meeting was a great opportunity:

• to share academic progress and growth;

• discuss strategies to support students learning.

The main goal of these meetings was to learn about technologies that can influence the process of education.

We emphasized research skills focusing on the use of the library's information resources - in all formats including online databases and print.
