On September 1 st , 2013 the Window on America Center
in Lutsk gathered 17 visitors who joined Sunday
meeting for discussion “Martin Luther King Jr. at 50-year anniversary of March
on Washington ”.
The event was designed
to shed light on some historical moments in the USA-
the March on Washington
for Jobs and Freedom that took place in Washington ,
D.C. , on August 28, 1963.
The paper show “August
28, 1963 March in Washington ” was displayed at
the Center so that the WOA visitors could read "I Have a Dream" speech,
a spirited call for racial justice and equality and learn more about the
growing struggle for civil rights in the United States of America .
At the end of the
meeting the visitors watched the film “To Kill a Mockingbird” and discussed the racial concerns that Harper Lee
addressed in the
movie.
